CRICUT 360º - Meet the DT - Jo Schlanker

Hello everyone! Time to meet Jo Schlanker, another one of our fabulous designers. We love her style and are extremely happy to have her in our DT. Welcome Jo... :)

Hi, my name is Jo and I live in a small town in central Missouri with my husband, daughter and seven dogs. I spend my days as the bookkeeper for a public school district. I’m also a member of Rotary International and the accounting chairperson for an American Cancer Society Relay for Life committee. Whenever I have a little free time, I can usually be found in my craft room working on a project or in front of my computer looking for ideas for my next project.

While I've been crafting for years, I didn't start making cards until after I received my Cricut Expression as a Christmas gift in 2008. Since then, cardmaking has become my passion! In May of 2009, I started my blog and have had a wonderful time meeting new friends and sharing the love of crafting. I’ve also had the privilege of being a member of the first My Pink Stamper design team.

I’m very excited to be a part of the Cricut 360 Challenge Blog and can’t wait to see what everyone creates … we’re going to have a blast!

CRICUT 360º - Meet the DT - Leirad Carrasco

Hello everyone! It is time to meet Leirad. She is a fabulous crafter, her designs and ideas are amazing... we are very excited to have her in our team.

Hi, my name is Leirad and I'm 34 years old. I have been happily married for 11 years and I'm the proud mother of my wonderful 4 years old son and a lovely Chihuahua. I have the fortune to work from home for an environmental consulting firm as an environmental engineer.

I inherited my passion for crafts from my beloved grandmother Angela. She loved to crochet, and from pillows to comforters, her house was completely decorated with of all her amazing work. In addition, on Christmas time she would make all sorts of crafts using felt to be sold at the Annual Christmas Fair our Church used to hold in order to raise money for the less fortunate. She passed away in 2008 and I miss her a lot. Nonetheless, crafting makes me feel closer to her in some way.

I am into card making, stamping, knitting, and crafts in general. My love for paper crafting started on Christmas 2008 when my dear husband bought me a Cricut Expression. Since then, I have been collecting all sort of gadgets, stamps, Cricut cartridges, paper, paper, and more paper.

CRICUT 360º - Meet the DT - Sonya Brindle

Time to meet Sonya, a very talented and creative cardmaker. She is also a designer for Use it Tuesday, and Kich N Bleus and has been featured in Birthday Sundaes and Fantabulous Cricut Challenge. We are thrilled to have her with us.

Hi everyone—I’m Sonya and I am so excited to be a part of the Cricut 360º Design Team. I started paper crafting in 2000 when a good friend of mine invited me to a large scrapbook convention that she did not want to attend by herself. I had so much fun that night that I have yet to stop creating! I remember my excitement of seeing an advertisement for the original Cricut back in 2006 and ended up receiving one for my birthday that year. Soon after, I added a Cuttlebug, Expression and Gypsy to the mix—along with many cartridges! My favorite cartridge is Elegant Edges—I think it’s perfect for scrapbook pages and for creating frames for stamped images in card making. I love using bright colors and clean lines in my creations.

When I’m not in my scrapbook room, you’ll probably find me on my bicycle—our entire family loves to bike and we are big advocates for bicycle safety and creating bike friendly communities. I also enjoy cooking, reading and traveling. My favorite movie is Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and I never, ever pass up a piece of cheesecake

CRICUT 360º - Meet the DT - Deborah Crowder

Happy Sunday everyone! Today I want you to meet Debbie, she sure is a creative lady and we are thrilled to have her with us.

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to be part of a new Design Team! I am an empty nester, married to my best friend who really keeps me entertained. I have a 25 year old daughter who lives in Indiana. I am retired at 48 years old and living with my hubby and our two furbabies in Florida. Its different not working when you were a workaholic! I owned my own granite and marble fabrication and installation shop. I stayed busy meeting clients in retail setting of our showroom and builders out on the site. Needless to say it was always a shocker to them if they never worked with me before and then met me in person. Of course this wasn't the normal thing for a woman to be doing and I was all of 4"10" and I think they thought I would be a push over but they quickly learned I was very tough, held my own and wasn't intimidated by them.

My business became very successful. We lived in Indiana all our lives My husband retired 4 years ago from Chrysler and decided he was done with the cold weather and we were moving to Florida. So I retired with much hesitation. I loved working, the stress was my driving force and I wasn't sure I was ready to walk away. But he was more important and I wanted him to be happy. So we have been here 3 years now. I haven't been scrapping more than 2 years because I never had time. So I have been collecting all the necessary cricuts and supplies! I absolutely love it, i know I will get better with time. I absolutely have a new addiction and thats blogging, scrapping and facebooking new friends. I didn't know anything about a blog until a year ago when I started mine. Now my blog is designed by me and I did a few friends blogs too. I love to dabble in alot of things.

Scrapping keeps me busy so I can forget for a short time how much I miss my beautiful daughter and all my family. I have been published in GingerScrapsStreet Magazine (Its an online magazine) I own my original E, Cricut Imagine and I won the Cricut E2. But I have to say I use all of them but my love is still with my original E. I just feel its still the better made out of all of them and don't think thats going to change for me. But developing a love for my imagine. This time around I got a good one. I didn't think I would print full page papers but found myself doing that for a project I just didn't have the paper I wanted for it. I am a paper hoarder. I know it needs to be used but it sends a panic to my brain that the mission should be aborted to avoid lack of paper!!! My pet peeve is tardiness. I am always ready and always arriving at least 15 minutes early but I like to be punctual. My favorite drink is sweet tea but normally I drink Diet Mountain Dew one after another when I'm crafting. My favorite color is pink and the pattern paisleys. I probably said TOO much. I'm looking forward to this journey with all of you!

CRICUT 360º - Meet the DT - Heather Hoffman

Hello everyone! It is time to meet Heather Hoffman, a super talented cardmaker. She is also a designer for Patches of Pink, and has been a guest designer for Peachy Keen Stamps. We are very excited to have her in our design team.

I am a wife and stay at home, homeschool mom of two little girls age 8 and almost 7. I have been scrapping for several years now, but only recently discovered Cricut, when my mom decided to conspire with my husband and get it for me for my birthday. I used to always say that I couldn't make cards, and my mom would argue with me that I could. Well, since getting my Cricut, I have discovered that I LOVE making cards!!! I always tell my mom that it is her fault! Anyway, I got so addicted to making cards, that I couldn't possibly give them all away. After a relatively unsuccessful attempt to sell them at craft fairs, I prayed about what to do with them. The answer came in the form of a ministry that our family is passionate about called Sister Connection. They work in many avenues with widows and orphans inBurundi, Africa - and the one that my two daughters in particular were touched by, is by building them homes - at a cost of only $600 per house! My cards are now out for donation at our church, and I have done several craft fairs now with far greater success. In a little over a year, I have raised enough for one house, and am about a third of the way to building another one! I love that I can combine my love of this craft, with something that helps others! I am very excited to be a part of this team, and know that it will be a fun and exciting journey - filled with great challenges and adventures!!!

CRICUT 360º - Meet the DT - Barb Orvis

Hello everyone! I am very excited with the launch of my challenge blog on July First. Now that I have all my designers set up in the team, I want to introduce them one by one.
Today I will be presenting Barb Orvis. Barb is a very talented crafter, she is also a designer for Fantabulous Cricut Challenge and Frosted designs. I can't express how thrilled I am to have her in my design team. Welcome to Cricut 360º Barb! :)

My name is Barb and I have only been blogging since the beginning of the year. I am a fairly new blogger but certainly not new to crafting or scrapping.

I am happily married and have a 22 year old son. Our home is in St. Cloud Minnesota.

By day, I am a full time corporate meeting planner. My hobbies include traveling, cooking, exchanging recipes, quilting, and especially paper crafting, whether it is scrapbooking or card making.

I have been crafting for as long as I can remember. My favorite tool is my Gypsy. I have to thank my husband who gave me my first Cricut a few years ago. I was skeptical at first, but now, can’t live without it.

I have recently added the E2 and the Imagine to my tool collection.

I became a Creative Memories consultant almost 2 years ago, mainly to support my scrappy habit. Since then I have hosted several themed scrapbook retreat weekends and swaps for my friends/family.

I thrilled to be a part of the first 360º design team and as excited about this new challenge blog. I can't wait to get started and see where it takes all of us.
